Which is the real environmental impact of the Divano AIR?

Understanding how a product impacts on the environment, it is not always easy for the uninitiated. Percentages, ratios and numbers often fail to give an immediate idea of the consistency of the environmental impact. Let’s consider the composition Divano AIR No. 415 in linen, already analyzed in the previous pages. Its environmental impact is about 51.000 liters of water/ 700 Kg/CO2 equivalent.

But what does this mean? A little comparison can come in handy. Comparing the carbon footprint and the water footprint of Divano AIR with those of other products, we find that the composition n° 415 consumes about the same amount of water needed to produce 15 kg of rice or 10 reams of 500 sheets of A4 size paper (80gr paper) *. In addition, it produces the same amount of CO2 emitted in a 4.000 km car journey**.
